It was foggy foggy this morning. Kids love it though.( Oh yes, me too. lol)

霧深き朝・・・・子どもは大喜び。(私もだな。笑）

朝の8時半なのに暗いな・・・

おっ、この霧の中練習ですか？

待たずに行ってしまう二人・・・（母ちゃんは寂しいよ）

昨日はおじょーちゃんに

「バギーはアタチが押すのでちゅからチャワラナイデ！」って言われる（？）し・・・

ああ、もうどんどん好きなだけお押しになって。(で、疲れたら寝ようね）

(コソコソ・・・今朝、長男に撮らしていただいた出来立てショール図も・・・

着ているブルーのシャツは学校の授業でやった絞り染めらしい。

絞りがゆるかったらしくいまいち模様が出ず、どう見ても「ムラ染め」。）

短い髪の毛だと巻き具合がわかりやすくて良し。

I had long 2 months off.
While I was off I have knitted S's Birthday socks.

エエ～、長らくご無沙汰いたしておりました。２ヶ月もアップをサボってました。
その間編んでいたものは長男の誕生日靴下であります。

Pattern; Hermioni's Everyday socks

The socks above was for my S as his birthday was in September and the colour and pattern was his choice.

１１歳にもなると糸の好みもうるさいのでお店に一緒に買いに行きました。彼の選んだのはこの色。そしてパターンは前回次男に盗られた取られたハーマイオニーちゃんの靴下。

We went shop to pick his Bithday cake. This year, he went for the size, not footballer.

ケーキも一緒に買いに行きました。過去数年は我らがマンチェスター・ユナイテッド（サッカーチームですわ）の飾りひと筋だったのに、今年は「大は小を兼ねる」志向へ。食い気が勝ったか・・・

Hermioni's Everyday Socks

Now, every Tuesdays / 毎週火曜日だよ。

As I've mentioned before, I'm having her every Tuesday from this months.

さて、ご連絡いたしましたとおり、今月からおじょーちゃんは毎週火曜日に。

I've finished Back of the cardigan. I've chosen simple pattern for this yarn to show the colour of the yarn, but it tiring sometimes.

カーディガンの後ろ身ごろが編めました。

糸がけっこういろんな色を含んでいるのでシンプルなほうが良いな、と

メリヤス編みのロング・カーディを選んで

とっても楽しみなんだけど

編んでも編んでも

終わりが来ないような心境。

減目までがイベントに思えるこの砂漠感。

でも編み間違えのようなことも無いから開放感もある。

ちょびっと疲れたのでペット話を更新しました。（宣伝？）

Last night, I was putting cling film on left over salada.

My Husband saw me doing it, and said " You aren't going to use that for my tomorrow's packing up,are you"

I replied," Nooooo, I'll never do that, it will be soggy , wouldn't it."

..... Actually, I was thinking about it. Damn....

昨夜、残ったサラダにラップをかけてました。

ソレを見ただんなが『まさかソレ、明日の弁当に使ったりしないだろうね』とおっしゃる。

『そんなことするわけないじゃん、べちゃってしちゃうよ～』って返事したけど

・・・ちょっとそうしようかなって考えてた。（どきどき）

Since　last night, I've started MY cardi too.

Feels a bit oily on my hand ,but I don't know why.

そうそう、昨夜からはコレにもとりかかりました。

脂ののった細い麻のロープを編んでいる、というようななんともたとえにくい感触。

S told me that he'd love to have socks. so I went shop , then I saw those bargain basket. 。。I just couldn't help picking up those £1 offer.


長男がですね、次男と一緒のいろの靴下ならあってもいいなあ（遠まわしの催促）というようなことをおっしゃいますので先に糸だけでも、と買い物に行ってきました。

よせばいいのにまたバーゲンのかご見ちゃう。みちゃったらね、こんなのアッタカラ。
・・・お持ち帰り・・・・色的にはのらねこさんの最近のコレクト品みたい？（私信？？）

More like "Wicked Witch of the East" / ハーマイオニーちゃんのはずだったのに。

I was in love with this "Hermione's Every day socks". I really was. I was so so looking forward to wearing it, and as I was trying on as I knit the leg and heel, I felt so comfortable and I really really liked it.
...but I don't know what I thought as I was checking the length of foot, thought myself, " oh well, that should do it" without checking it properly.

then I had a shock when I bind off after I've done Kitchener's.

OH MY GOODNESS ITS A BIT TOO TIGHT.

I can wear it if I ignore my toe screaming " ..cannot stretch  comfortably", but my son K, tried it on and declares it fit better on him.

from that moment, This Hermione's Every day Socks become WICKED WITCH OF THE EAST SOCKS. ( ..... by no fault of its own , of course)

Esther終了後、もちっと気楽にいけて柄物毛糸でも大丈夫なシンプルなデザイン、と、「ハーマイオニーちゃんの普段履き靴下」を編み出す。
編んでても気持ちよい、コレは履くのが楽しみだ～と心躍らせて編んでたんですが、履いてみて足サイズチェックしたのに出来上がり試着するとちょっときつい。ガガガガ～ン。

ちょびっときついの、無視しても履ける・・・カナ？これといてやり直したら、多分模様模様ずれちゃうな、と思案してるとこに次男登場。
「僕にピッタリだから、僕の。」宣言。

じゃあ、あげるっていったけど、もうせっかく自分のだ～ってルンルンで編んでたからショック。
その瞬間からコレ、「ハーマイオニーちゃんの普段履き靴下」じゃなくって「東の国の悪い魔女靴下」。靴下チャンのせいじゃないのだけど。

Esther, oh esther, esther.../ Esther つひに完成みまかふ。

Dadadaaaaaaan, my the revenge Esther Finally has done!!!!! ( confetti please, confetti, please people!)
 Yes I've tried before and I was beaten well before got to the actual pattern of Esther. The Picot Hem's wall was high at that time. It could be something to do with I was knitting with Bamboo and 2.0mm DPNs, and again I might be making excuse for my failure there.

Anyhow, I swore to myself I would not beaten by the pattern, I WILL COME BACK TO SORT YOU OUT. ( ....I would not deny the bit of attitude there, LOL)

できましたッ、できましたですよ、皆さん！（っていうほど皆さんにご覧になって頂いているのか、このブログ？）
別口でも散々ぐちってたEsther, ついに！（練習じゃなかったの？マア、細かいことはおきになさらないように・・長生きできませんよ）

 I've always decreased gusset every 2 rows but this one was decreased every 3 rows.

I found it really comfortable to wear.

今までの靴下のガセット減らし目は２段ごと二行ってたんですが、このパターンでは

３段目ごとに、との指示が。おかげで履きやすい。

 try take picture as I lay on the floor.../ゴロッっとして天井に向けて一枚。

 Heel is like this./ かかとはこんな感じで。

Left Over Blanket (in progless) / 余り糸ブランケット(進行中）

I've only knitted several socks but its quite clear those left over sock yarn is going to be build up in my yarn basket. I thought better think solution to avoid those lovely yarns become tangled and forgotten.

 Thought about knit mixed colour stripy socks but I don't like changing yarns very much and wanting to knit something easy mindless but affective and useful things...and I found this at Ravelry.

 まだそんなにたくさん編んだわけでもないのですが、増えていってる靴下余り糸チャンたち。
毛糸箱の中にたくさん溜まっていきそうなので、将来忘れ去られたまま絡んで生涯を終わられるのを防ぐためにこういう『冬だけじゃなく春・秋も絶対使う』軽い掛け布、編み始めました。

余り糸が無いときは停滞するでしょうから、ちょっとした合い間に編めて、編地は簡単なコレで。

so far... / まだまだこれだけです。

K's bedtime socks / 次男の『寝る用』靴下

Pattern: Simple sock pattern and Gift Pouch by Sue Morgan

It has been pleasure to knit this simple socks for K. Thinking of wanting to wear this at bed time, thought not too woolly is better ( otherwise he'll kick his covers at night). I picked Wendy Happy again ( bamboo75%, nylon25%) so it feels really soft and silky.

 I have finished this last week and he's been wearing it to go to bed since. I am so glad he likes it. 



先週編めた次男の『寝る時用』の靴下。朝晩肌寒いとはいえこれから暑くなるのにウールの靴下はちょっとねえ、と、この前使ったウェンディーのハッピーというバンブー糸を使用。（じゃないと絶対お布団蹴飛ばしちゃう！）

先週編み上げて以来毎晩履いてくれてますので（釣りキャンプのとき以外）編みがい有り！

・・・ところで、編み物Gの日記の付け方（写真野入れ方は何とかできた！でも、ハイパーリンクとかどうすんだろう）、まだよくワカリマセン。（Oh No!）とっても困ったチャン。

Birthday Socks for J II ・ダンナの誕生日靴下 その２

As he had long long 11days holiday over Easter Holiday and Royal Wedding, naturally he took this opportunity to go to fishing. ( Carp )

That was good opportunity for me and kids to do some camping , and the weather was so lovely.

イースター（Easterの祝日・学校もコレの前後約２週間お休みで、ちょうど日本の春休みみたいな感覚です）の休みと土日、振り替え休日、ロイヤル・ウェディングと有給２日をうまいこと組み合わせて１１日もの連休をつくりあげたダンナ・・・やはり釣りに出かけました。

子供たちも先週は水／木以外休みだったんで結局みんなで釣りをかねたキャンプとなりました。

then I had time to do a bit of knitting after setting up fishing tackles and bivvy  tried finish HIS second socks for his birthday. and its finally done.

こちらの鯉釣りは複数の釣り竿（ウチは３本）に仕掛けをつけてアラームを取り付けるという気長な長期戦なので、釣り人用テントとつり竿をセットした後は編み物してました。今回はダンナの二つ目の靴下。（まだできてなかったのよう！）

Pattern : Gentleman's socks (by Kristie)

It was really nice to knit this pattern. Its full of Right Twists but it makes this sock really squishy and soft, comfortable fit. I am thinking knit one for myself with same pattern. I am particularly impressed with the pattern where foot arches are.

おほ！「じぇんとるまん」の靴下。

やたら交差編みの多い靴下でしたがとっても履き心地のよい一品。弾力性、フィット感に優れ、しかも土踏まずのところの編み目変更は足にそう心地よさ（らしい。ほら、ダンナの靴下は大きすぎてちょっと私の足では実感わかない. 英語では「感銘した」なんて言い切っちゃたけどさあ・爆）

I'm glad he quite liked it and start wearing as soon as I have finished it. He became quite fond of knitted socks, and tells me that I'm going to knit ONLY his socks from now on.

どうやら今回編んだ靴下とその前のとでダンナは手編みの靴下好きになったらしく誰かがうちに来ると見せびらかしています。しかも今後私が編む靴下は彼のだけ宣言。（ダレがそんな宣言聞くか～）

As I have finished those socks I have started my sister's order ( ribbed race bolero) same as my one, and the knitting needle( 4mm and 5mm) feels HUGE. lolol.

いったん靴下が全部編めましたので、姉からの注文のあった私とオソロイのリブ編みボレロ編み始めました。針が太いんでガイガイ編んでます！

Birthday Socks for J ・ダンナの誕生日靴下

" so where is my socks?"
...after I finished my 3rd or 4th socks, he asked me. He must assumed without asking me I'll knit one for him.

I might should have done well before he asked, but I felt his attitude towards knitted sock was rather sarcastic to begin with. Obviously, he actually wanted one.

「で、僕の靴下は？」なんて聞かれてしまいました。３足目か４足目の靴下を編んだ後ぐらいに。訊かなくっても勝手に自分用に編んでくれると思ったのでしょうねえ。

今まででしたらセーターとか勝手に編んじゃってたんですが、履くかはかないかもわかんないのに編むのいやだったし、なんせ私のお初自前靴下を編み上げたときなんか鼻で笑ったくせにさ～。
でもやっぱり欲しかったみたいね。

Pattern : Basic Ribbed Socks 

 This is kind of testing as well, as I haven't knit men's size before and his foot is much thicker. I've casted 68 sts to start with, but it didn't go through his ankle, so I frogged it and done CO 80sts.

 I love the colour and seems he likes it as well. which is good thing. Unfortunately he's gone fishing so couldn't take photo with his foot in but I did with mine..... but as you can see, even ribbed pattern doesn't stretch. HUGE.

お初の男性サイズでしかもダンナの足の甲は私よりもっと高いし何か全体的にデカいのでとりあえず「男性Lサイズ」とある作り目６８ステッチで編み始めたのですが、試着きっつ～。

履けないものを編んでもしょうがないので全部といて作り目８０．うわっデカっ！！

色も気に入ってくれたようでよかったんですが今日は早速釣りに出かけちゃったので彼の足での着画は撮れませんでした。仕方なく私の足で。。。でもほら、履いてもリブが横に伸びないの。ぶかぶか。

His Birthday is 21st.April. I might able to knit another one with different pattern.

誕生日は４月の２１日とまだ数日あるので急いだらもう一足別のパターンで編めるかも。どうしようかな～。 

Stay Safe Sock II 安全祈願靴下２号

Wooooooo why on earth took me so long to do another one! I originally wanted to do different pattern with this lovely yarn  but I couldn't be satisfied with picot hem. My sister is much taller than me so it made difficult to check the size as well.

so, I after 5th or 6th picot hem trial and gauge culicurations,( as you know techniq it self was easy enough but wasn't sure if it fit through my sister's ankle ) I gave up the whole idea and picked " THIS-MUST-FIT -HER FOOT" pattern.

 ナニゆえこんなに時間がかかったのか、二号？

そのですね、ピコットヘムを使った可愛らしいパターンに挑戦していたのですがピコットヘムの伸縮性のなさと妹の足が実際ここになくて果たしてくるぶしを通過することができるのかという疑問をとけず５、６回後のゲージあわせでもなかなか納得できるカフ具合にならなかったのでこのパターンは今後の課題に残しておくことにして「これならまず入るだろう」というベーシックなパターンで編みなおしました。

Pattern: Thuja by Bobby

It looks more basic, and confortable to wear. I am quite pleased with this pattern..... but as you can see, the colour change isn't matching.

 編み心地も履き心地もいい一品、しかし色が微妙にずれてしまって・・・・

...if you tip one side of toe like this, you won't notice.

Stay Safe Socks No.1 安全祈願靴下一号

I've got hold of my other sister who live in Kyoto last week. According to her husband, the radiation wouldn't reach there because of the all those high mountains.  but still, I am worried.

先週、京都在住の姉夫婦にも連絡を取ったところ元気そうでこれまたほっといたしました。義兄によりますと放射能は高い山々にさえぎられて早々簡単に京都までは届かないとのこと。うーんでも心配は心配。

I couldn't hack the those feeling without doing nothing so I start knitting pair of socks each to my sisters.

どうしようもないので靴下を姉と妹に編むことにしました。名づけて安全祈願靴下。これを履くと身を守ってくれるという摩訶不思議な願がかかっています。

アンタ巫女かい！！（イイの、巫女じゃなくても願は強いの）

I've finished knitting one of socks last night. I blocked it so  can post it tomorrow but before that, I just checked if it fit alright.

昨夜に一つ目の靴下が出来上がりましてブロッキングしました。今日きちんと乾かして明日には発送できるでしょう。・・・でもその前にちょっと試着しちゃいます。

My other sister said she would like to have Pink one. but I couldn't find good pink sock yarn . I wonder she'll be alright with this colour. I better ask before I start her one.

妹はピンクの靴下がいいって言ってたんですが、ピンクの良い靴下の糸が近所の毛糸屋にはなくって・・・・　もう一玉同じ毛糸を買ってあるのでこの色でもいいか聞いてから次のを編み始めます。

BJ (iHeartBobRoss) needs more Poo , and that is OFFICIAL. As a member of BJ's Group you shouldn't join I had to do something about it, and created this one.

BJ によるとですね、もっとプーがいるんですと。創作意欲をかきたてられるじゃありませんか！。しかもパターンなんかまで作成しちゃいました。

SIZE: 3inches wide-2 inches high

MATERIALS: approximately 20 g 4ply yarn (any shade of Brown- I used Patons diploma GOLD) , set of DPNs, stuffing.

METHOD: Cast on 18 sts ( divide in 3 dpns)stocking stitches until it reaches 7 inches long. *

* It will be easier to put stuffing's before it gets too long. I stuffed mine as I knit ( kind of every inches long I put stuffing in)



Once it reached 7 inches in length( its going to be the bottom part ) , make it narrower by

 K2, K2tog, K4, K2tog, K4, K2tog, K2 ( 15sts ) - carry on stocking stitches further 5 inches.

Once it reached further 5 inches, decrease again by

 K2, K2tog, K2, K2tog, K2, K2tog, K3 ( 12 sts ) - stocking sts 2 more row.

 K1, K2tog, K2, K2tog, K2, K2tog K ( 9sts ) - stocking sts 2 more row.

K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, ( 6sts )

K2tog x 3(  3 sts ) BO,  break yarn.

MAKE UP

I have used the tails to sew up to the shape.

Second pair of Socks 靴下２号

I've finished 2nd socks last week! The pattern is from Ravelry - Basic Ribbed Socks. Cast on 64 as Women Lsize.
 どんってな具合の写真とともに靴下２号完成！（先週できたんだけどね。）どういった具合にLサイズなんだかわかんないんですけど、ふくらはぎが入らないと困っちゃうからね、とLarge に。おかげさまでいい具合にフィット。

I couldn't see before, but this yarn change the colour. Little bit of gray and beige shows up if you look closely..
 編む前には単色！と思っていたのですが編み出したとたん別の色が浮き上がってきてビックリ。グレーの入り具合が微妙で見方によっては薄汚れた感じに。。。でもまあよいでしょう。

　さて、みなさんもうお気づきのことと思いますが、英語・日本語で両方書いてはいますがまったく直訳なんかじゃありません。こういうなんていうかニュアンスの違いなんかがあるんで日本語開通ウホウホだったんですよねー。

By the way, I bought something today which nothing to do with knitting. I've found it at the shop this morning just next of the till. £1.99. I've never grow rose from the seeds, so I was quite interested. but according to the instruction it need to be kept in the room temperature of 25-28 degree. ....its too cold to start this kit??

　ところで今朝、近所のお店にパンと牛乳を買いに入ったついでにレジ横においてあったモノを衝動買い。
　いままでパンジーとかイチゴ、トマトの似たようなキットは見たことあったんですがバラは初めて。しかも種からっていうから買っちゃいました。下のプラスチックの蓋をはずすと説明書きとバラの種が。。エクストラの種って書いてあるから、別ダネがもう缶の中に入っているのかなあ。

　説明書きには室内温度２５から２８度のところで育ててネ、とは書いてあるんですが、なんとも待つのが苦手な私はどうする？もう育てちゃおうっか？てな感じでして。。。。どうしよう、待つべき？ちなみに今週末の夜間外気温はマイナス１とか２いっちゃうらしいんですけど。。
